Human Capital Media Announces Launch Date for CLO Accelerator Program

CLO Accelerator to provide intensive professional development workshop for learning experts


Chicago, June 30, 2015 —Human Capital Media (HCM), publisher of Chief Learning Officer magazine, today announced the launch of a new event: CLO Accelerator. The two-day workshop will take place Oct. 10-11, immediately preceding the industry acclaimed Fall 2015 CLO Symposium. CLO Accelerator is for individuals who are new, projected or aspiring to assume the role of learning executive. The curriculum was developed by HCM in partnership with Gerry Hudson-Martin, former learning professional at John Hancock Financial Services and Marriott International. Both events will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort near Austin, Texas.

“While we are grateful to receive positive feedback from the learning industry regarding the Symposium, one area we want to make an impact is in the development of the next generation learning executives,” said John Taggart, co-founder and president of HCM.

After the CLO Accelerator workshop, the Symposium will kick off with this year’s theme: “The Next Evolution: Learning in a Time of Disruption.” The program will feature renowned speakers offering unique insights on the evolving workforce including:

  • Edward Hallowell, psychiatrist, mental health expert and author, “Driven to Distraction at Work”
  • Bill Jensen, management consultant and author, “Disrupt! Think Epic. Be Epic.”
  • Tania Luna, entrepreneur and author, “Surprise: Embrace the Unpredictable and Engineer the Unexpected”
  • Christian Rudder, author, “Dataclysm: Who We Are (When We Think No One’s Looking)”
